“ Food is good. I ordered sweet sour pork and pork shoulder and pork belly clay pot. They taste amazing ! I will bring all my family here and recommend my friends to come Service is excellent and good parking space and lots of parking space ”
“ Food and service are good! But we stopped getting take out because of the amount of black plastic containers the use: not good for you, not recyclable. Convenience at the cost of health and the planet is not worth it. We asked for cardboard containers, but hey say they are not available. ”
“ Great Chinese food when I'm in Albany I'll eat there and in Oakland at the house I'll get it delivered. My only complaint is no fortune cookies when it's delivered other than that it's bombass goodies ya feel ”
“ I had dinner here the past weekend and I used to come here more when I lived in Albany. The service was great and our favorite dish was the string beans. ”
“ It's my understanding that there has been some local discourse about whether China Village is still as good as it used to be. As someone who came here pretty regularly but hadn't been back since before the pandemic, I can't speak for others but I can definitely speak for myself. The dishes I ordered were every bit as good as I remembered. Menu highlights include the Thousand Chilis Fish Soup, Sizzling Seafood Claypot, and the Cumin Lamb. China Village specializes in Sichuan Cuisine, so that's always going to be the best thing you can order. We went on a relatively quiet night, so service was very quick and extremely attentive, but the atmosphere was still there. ”
“ We had a delicious birthday brunch that my Chinese wife thought very authentic. Popcorn chicken was yummy as was the garlic filet of sole and steamed beef. In all way too much food to finish so we took leftovers home. The wait staff was great, fast, efficient and attentive. Chin's Village is well worth a try!!! ”
“ We got a pretty good takeout meal here. Ordered on DoorDash, pickup was ready early. Cost was $83.99 total including tax/tip for a DoorDash pickup order for 4 entrees - enough for 4 adults and 3 toddlers. Classic Broccoli Beef 西蘭花牛肉 ($21.49) - 3.5 stars Classic Chow Mein 各式炒麵 CHICKEN 雞 ($16.09) - 3.5 stars Specialty Lamb w/Cumin 川味軒烤羊肉 ($21.49) - 4 stars Eggplant w/Spicy Garlic Sauce 魚香茄條 ($17.29) - 4 stars ”
“ I recently tried China Village with a buddy. He said it was on one of the Michelin guides so I figured I'd give it a go! We ordered several dishes including the green beans, beef in chili oil, Dan Dan noodles in sesame, and pork shank. The green beans were excellent. Soft and well seasoned with the perfect kick. The pork shank in sauce was also awesome with a generous portion and tasty sauce. IMO the star of the show was the beef in chili oil. There was a super large portion that also contained some cabbage and veg. I will say say that the Dan Dan noodles were pretty underwhelming so that takes them down a notch, but otherwise the food was excellent. The vibe inside was solid. Clearly a family joint that draws in a lot of locals. The servers were nice and offered some recommendations for us. I will definitely come back for more of that beef and green beans! ”
